It was another great week of fishing in the Florida Keys. We caught snook and redfish on the coast, back in the Everglades, and in Florida bay. These fish were very willing to eat a fly or artificial. We had a few days far back in the everglades that were extremely good with some very large fish. The warm weather we have had has warmed the water up quite a bit and the fish are loving it. During certain times in the winter when the weather warms enough tarpon will stream into areas to lay up and feed. This week we fished for tarpon in alot of different areas but we had the most success with fish layed up in quiet lakes and corners in the Everglades. We didn't spend alot of time on the flats close to the Keys, but the bonefish and permit are enjoying the warm water as much as the tarpon and are happily feeding on the flats.
