Islamorada Fishing Expeditions

Islamorada is the "Sport-Fishing Capitol of the World" and it's also where Blue Moon Expeditions calls home.

Islamorada is situated 1/3 of the way into the Florida Keys and boasts incredible opportunities for anglers off-shore, on-shore and in the backcountry. From Islamorada, we have access to the vast flats of Florida Bay, the coast of the Everglades, the oceanside flats, and the reef off-shore all the way to the blue water.

Florida bay is a large basin surrounded by vast flats providing the perfect habitat for tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, and numerous other species.

Within reach of Islamorada is the coast of the Everglades - a wild and remote fishery. This habitat consists of long sandy beaches, unnamed creeks, and scattered dead timber from past hurricanes. This habitat combines to form an unbelievable snook and tarpon fishery.

The oceanside of Islamorada has the clearest water anglers can imagine. These vast flats are home to record size bonefish and schools of permit. Tarpon migrate the edges of these flats creating a sight fishing experience like no other.

Within a few short miles of Islamorada is our beautiful barrier reef, home to a wide variety of reef fish and the gateway to the blue water where sailfish and Mahi Mahi can be targeted.

Islamorada is without a doubt the place to be if you are looking for a day trip into the backcountry or off-shore.

Book a trip with Blue Moon Expeditions out of Islamorada and experience some of the best angling in the most pristine waters of the United States.
